So just curious, what are the club supposed to do without a larger ground? Season ticket holders have priority and seems fair as they have already commuted with buying a season ticket.
Understanding there are members who may buy one if the opportunity exists but it doesn’t - that’s not the clubs fault.
Well it's a choice isn't it? I'm not saying that they should, but the club **could ** sell another what? 5,000 season tickets if they wanted. It would just reduce the number of matchday tickets they are able to sell.
Yes there is that in the background to be fair. But to think that is the only reason is naive. They are trying to get as much money in as they can by keeping ST numbers low/lower and selling match-day tickets at a premium. Whilst pretending it's due to wanting to reward loyal fans.
If more money wasn't the motivation they could have, for example, offered a package of a ticket for every home game for £800 but with no guarantee of the same next season. I'd have bought that in a snap.
If that's the case, how is ingo a season ticket holder? I guess we'll find out whether they allow more season ticket holders if/when the main stand ever happens.
FWIW I sort of stand with Mince, it isn't supply and demand, it's a closed shop. See also; away tickets. The only way to fix that though is to put everything on at market value.
It’s already been said all pro and plus members will get a ticket.
I don’t think it’s fair I’ll pay at least £200 for the 4 games whilst a season ticket holder plays at least £170.
And don’t get me wrong, I don’t begrudge the ST holders at all here, but I’d thought it would be fair to offer members who have paid £100 to be able to buy tickets a similar deal.
I suppose the reason for not allowing members to buy for all four is that if i was a season ticket holder who could only get to, say, Malmo, I’d still expect “my seat” to be available to me. Which is going to reduce the availability loads.
In my fictional world, they'd give ST holders a few days to buy their 4-game package. To get 'their' seat. Then they would give members the same opportunity, but only making available seats which are not held by ST holder seats (whether they were sold in phase 1 or not). Perhaps if you want with a slightly smaller discount but at least it would be a gesture.
After that, they then sell the tickets on a per-game basis with first dibs given to ST holders before members. So a ST holder, whether they are buying the package or per-game, would still get their seat.
Though as Lessred says, I don't think there's any obligation anyway tbh.
Where are these people that people want to be near?
I sat in many areas of the ground last season and it was mostly cunts.
Went in the Upper Trent for the Man Utd game as hadn’t been in there for over 15 years, whilst is wasn’t the most cunty part it was definitely the most ‘you aren’t local to this seat’ part.
