I think he's another box to box which I am all in favour of.

Bologna fans think he's the Bee's knees but he doesn't want to stay there so Prem here we go!

Argie too which probably makes him a nasty bugger!

Chicago: Still planning on visiting the falklands.

Freuler to them, Nicolas Dominguez to us (presumably some money from us to them as well)

I am seeing talk of Freuler plus 8M. I don't know how much we originally paid for Freuler.

I thought it was around 8m

Romano now saying Michy Batshuayi deal is close too. That's one I could have done without.

Not very exciting but, if Awoniyi stays fit, he's basically competing with Wood to play 20 minutes at the end of games.

And I'd rather have him for 20 mins than Hwang.

Hwang is a pretty different kind of player. He runs.

In that case Micky Batshit is a different kind of player. He scores.

    I have questions.

If all these transfers go through (Brennan out; Murillo, Tavares, CHO, Dominguez, Batshit, +/- Ndidi and Vlachodimos in) and the remainder of the defence is fit, what is the first choice team and formation (assume 3-5-2/3-4-3)?

I know we need two good people in each position etc but I’m getting a bit confused. We had a period last year when I had no idea what our preferred first 11 was (or first 13, depending on the fixture). I think we are probably getting there now. There are only a few of the existing 11 who definitely get in (Taiwo, MGW) then it gets interesting. Does Murillo go in defence alongside Niakhate and Felipe? Is Dominguez a shoo-in for the 6? What about Santos?

If everyone is fit, I think there are probably only five nailed on starters: Turner, Felipe, Niakhate, MGW, Awoniyi. The rest will shake out over the next few weeks. Murillo is classed as under 21, so I'd guess he's viewed as a project, probably to replace Felipe by the start of next season (but I don't think they expected Danilo to force his way into the team as quickly as he did).

CHO and Elanga are competing to replace Brennan in the starting line-up in home games. Tavares & Aina for left back. Montiel/Aina/Aurier (if he stays) for right back. Boly/Worrall/Murillo for the third central defender. Mangala/Yates/Domingez/Santos/Danilo for the midfield positions.

That seems like a decent position to be in.

There are a lot of rumours, and by that I mean people with track records saying deals are close rathe than just random gossip. We could have a whole different team by the end of the window. I mean some of the names being linked are genuinely exciting, but it's a bit of a whirlwind. Will be nice when the window shuts and we see what the squad actually looks like for the next few months.

If Everton are pinning their hopes on a striker that can be adequately replaced by Emmanuel Dennis then that feels like good news for us.

So you’ve just listed all the alternatives!
Does Turner start ahead of the Benicia keeper?

Signings are either - one for the future (Murillo), straight into the first team (Montiel?), back up (Batshit) or competition (most of what we've signed). I honestly doubt Cooper knows who he's likely to be picking, outside the 5 above, by mid-December.

I think Turner stays in goal until there's a reason to drop him. Cooper stuck with Horvath in the promotion year until flights gave him an excuse to put Samba back in.

Romano says CHO is close. Have to say I'm a bit nervous about Levy doing a Levy at the 11th hour.
