C'est la vie. I like Hendo but Turner isn't a huge downgrade. Had some shaky moments first half today, much better in the second and made a couple of excellent saves.

Given Hendo's history, I'm not unhappy, just a little disappointed. The money would be better used elsewhere.
We should also remember that he hasn't played any football for Arsenal in 18 months since signing. Extremely difficult to hit the ground running but he seems to be doing fine so far. No goalkeeper is flawless, especially coming from a standing start.
I was a big Hendo fan last season, but I do think we are right to walk from this one. £20m and 100k p/w for a keeper who hasn’t played for 6 months would be a gamble.
I don't mind him not having played for 6 months if he's fit now, and he made the man u bench yesterday which suggests he must be. But he's definitely not the be all and end all, and there are other keepers with sustained top level experience who may represent better value for money. Vlachodimos or Sa would be excellent and probably cheaper if less available, but we will see.
I think we will see someone of that ilk sign this week, along with this young Brazil centre back, some type of left back and I think we will see CHO come in and Johnson go. And that will be that.
Percy reporting Spurs pushing for Brennan. We want £50m
Wonder if that means Elanga starts on the right
And if they offer £50m, we should take it. Levy isn’t the only one who can play hardball in negotiations; I doubt Marinakis is a pushover.
I can’t access the article as it’s behind a paywall. Apparently mentions us wanting money for the Sangare deal.
Here you go.
I can see the football and FFP logic in that if Sangare is the player he is meant to be. 50m up front for FFP, sign Sangare spread out over X years improve a part of the team we appear to be much weaker by sacrificing something from part of the team where we look strong. Replace Brennan with Elanga and a punt on Hudson-Odoi.
It is not a no-brainer though, be because MGW and Brennan have an understanding and are more than the some of their parts and it will disrupt clearly a vital part of what's good about us. For me it's either or, whatever.
McKenna is out of contract next summer. I stand by what I said at the start of the summer, we should be looking to sell to the championship or Celtic/Rangers.
Worrall is better anyway but even if they were exactly as good as each other, his status as a local lad and academy graduate means we should extend his contract.
I thought McKenna was decent yesterday. He was certainly doing a good job of closing aggressively. Unfortunately when he starts to find his feet his biscuit hamstrings go.
I think Celtic or Rangers will be his destination.
Boly is currently our best defender by a mile though until we get Felipe out of the hospital ward.
Chicago: chewing on some leather.
We need a left footer if we are going to stick with 3 CB's he is back up to Niakhate in that position. I can't see us selling without a replacement lined up.

Good knowledge.
