He's just looked mystifyingly bad when he's played.
Maybe he'd have been better if he'd had a run in the team but he's not a line leader, so it would have been at the expense of Johnson or MGW. Letting him and Johnson leave in the same window seems unwise though, especially if we don't sign someone else who might score some goals (I saw a link with Batshuayi, again, this week).
Dennis is a Maverick. I think that makes him uncoachable in a rigid formation/tactical sense. His skill set is excellent. He is rapid, (cue Russ and Jam Sandwich arguing..) but he is not a team player and makes mistakes by not including passes when he should and also trying too much when he shouldn't. (Pick any game against Scum Utd last season).... He definitely has talent but he has a me me me brain which worked for Zlatan but not for lesser mortals.
Palace seem to have allowed Zaha to do his thing. Maybe they see Dennis having the space to do what Emmanuel does as an asset. Time will tell.
As long as we extract a profit then that will be something.
I don't hate Dennis like most, I just find him incredibly frustrating and a low Football I.Q.when itis needed most. He has great instinct though, (the goal against Newcastle being the prime example) so there is that. Definitely a coaches nightmare though... I understand why Coops doesn't use him.
Ah Gustavo I miss you already...
Chicago: Technical advisor.
PS. You think Dennis might be hard to coach, you wait until Steve Cooper gets a load of Tavares, (Arteta alluded to him being a bit dim and not able to follow instructions....) I hope he is just one option.. Great physical specimen, thick as munch allegedly....
There is a Forest Twitter account that I don't think I trust saying that he's heard Arter could be going to Derby. It would make sense from a personnel perspective for both teams but the commercials might be a challenge.
