Oh please, Chic! If you’re resorting to “ITK” posts, you really are scraping the barrel; we’ve slipped through a worm-hole and are back on the original board with Hannah, Ivy the Teddy, EBP, Donny and that bloody Argentinian gimp.

If Cooper doesn’t think Scarpa is up to it - and it’s been pretty clear for a while now that he has question marks on that front, at best - then he would simply be wasting a place in his already tight squad. See Steve Cook last year. ‘Being a people person’ doesn’t mean he can’t be ruthless; you’re just trolling now.

We can argue on here about whether we agree with Cooper’s assessment of Scarpa, but frankly I don’t think any of us has seen enough of him to be sure either way. Cooper sees him every day in training and, for whatever reason, doesn’t fancy him in the side. That being the case, the only sensible course of action is to ship him out if possible, just like everyone else who isn’t going to get a game.

I don’t know why Cooper doesn’t rate Scarpa, but my hunch (FWIW) is that, though he has obvious ability, Cooper thinks he lacks the physical presence needed to thrive in this league. Listen to recent post-match interviews and how often Cooper mentions athleticism, pace & power. Watch Taiwo & Elanga combine for our goal at Arsenal; that’s what he’s on about. Scarpa is about 5 stone wringing wet and isn’t notably quick, for all his ability with a ball at his feet. Perhaps that’s why he reached his late-20s before a European club took a punt on him. Maybe not; who knows?

We have our best manager in 20+ years at the moment; I think we have to go with his judgement rather than throwing our Ivy the Teddies out of the pram.

I think that's about right, but more to do with the way we play than the league. We play on the turnover with pace. It doesn't suit him

Grant off of twitter reckons that Syrianos, the chappy who supposedly identified Niakhate, Awoniyi and Mangala and was fired last October, is now back on a consultancy basis.

Just a normal club behaving normally.

Why are you getting your football gossip from Ross Kemp?

    This is hilarious.

    Dane Murphy will be next.

Suggestion is he was fired as the club thought Awoniyi was a dud. Now he’s fit and been proven not to be, the axed recruitment team’s stock has risen again.

Nice to know ‘Grant’ has retrieved his head from Gary Brazil’s arse.

Is there any credence in the rumour? Mr Negative Daniel Taylor is usually all over things like that.

Forest Twitter has mainly been about someone posting a picture of Bartmans funeral today. Open casket and all.

Syrianos,is back working with the recruitment team. The club has acknowledged their mistake and have asked him to help out. I am with Ross Kemp because I have the same information.

Brid, what I said about Gustavo was true. He really wanted to fight for his place but alas he was told it was not to be.

You know me well enough that I sprinkle humour into my posts at times like: Cooper out. Do you really believe I mean it? I am honoured to be put into the troll factory hall of fame though. Even if I am correct in what I posted. Cheers mate.

AS for anyone coming in? No fucking clue. Although the Chris Wood to Leeds rumour is intriguing if somewhat unlikely...

    Chicago: A fountain of knowledge.

I see Gnonto wants out from Leeds, as does Adams. I hope we can do something there with one or both of them, particularly if we can get Dennis involved in the deal.

Throw them in Shelvey (J) for good measure. Just to be nice.

Who is saying that? Seems highly implausible, would be the deal of the century.

Even more implausible now Bournemouth have met the release clause.

They seen to splashing the cash and I’m sure they did in January too.

Edit: FFP must be an issue for them fairly soon www.footballtransfers.com/en/teams/uk/bournemouth/transfers
