Not sure I believe that. Surely we won’t be relying on Hennessey or Shelvey for those early games, assuming we buy Henderson?

Not been impressed by Matt Turner at all. He is a good penalty saver though. Hendo is very similiar as his kicking is pants. Better in the box than Turner though. Maybe we are abandoning the play out the back thing.
The lack of goalkeeper against Arsenal is a bit scary though.
I personally think we are going to go mental this week. If we play well against PSV then we will bid fo Sangare. We have bid for Mavro so maybe he might come to us now that Juventus have been kicked out of Europe. That bloke from Monaco should show up. I also think we are sorting out the loan to buy thing with Hendo which means we will have some money for Leonardo who would be a massive coup if we can buy him. I am guessing (remember just guessing... that we have to pay for him in more or less one dollop to ward off the interest of the spanish sides).
I also think Jonno is off but I could be wrong. Someone is encouraging those bids for him...
Arsenal away is going to be painful I think because we seem a little out of sorts but maybe we will shithouse them again. That would be fun.

Why would we sign Matt Turner as number 1? His pedigree is sub-Horvath. Makes no sense at all.

Sub-Horvath is our forty something drug addled Tuesday night keeper.

We really need two keepers, with a Hennessey type as an emergency/third/coach.

I'm fine with Turner as a number 2 but not our number 1, which Romano is implying he will be if we can't complete Henderson deal. I'd rather have Navas for another year though than any of them.

We will definitely be wanting to do some goalkeeper trading, to elevate us from our current sub-Danny Ward position. Generally that's done by the club recruitment function in private, rather than an unconnected journalist in public, and it's what the transfer window is for.
At this time of year people may fib to obscure their intentions. As well as at other times of the year. Mostly when they are awake.
