2023 Summer transfers

Lots of Chelsea fans seem annoyed that they might be selling Maatsen to us. This may be because they have blind hope that their owners will not dump all their good young players and he scored a couple in a friendly today. I'm still a bit sceptical about us signing a guy who has never played in a top league and is young and unproven. Feels like moving backwards from Lodi, and a bit like he's at the kind of stage Neco Williams was when we signed him (which seemed good at the time but he wasn't quite ready and thank god we signed Aurier). But if it happens - onwards!

Goddamnit. This is tricky’s fault for not giving us an ignore function. There are way too many j-people on this board, how are we expected to keep track of whether we’re dealing with a real one.

No it fucking isn't. It is Russ's pet theory, alternative reality and borderline nuts obsession that I am (his ex?) Pete. Why, I have no idea. Never met either of them to my best knowledge. Meanwhile tricky just thinks I'm a cunt and Chicago thinks I'm alright. Opinions. Not for me to judge.

Here's all I know about Pete: he is some fella who used to frequent this place, once wrote some kind of fanzine about Nottingham Forest in the old days, was well known in Forest circles for it, but then later appears to have become the subject of some scandal. Russ, and maybe some others on here (you, Jim?) were friends with him and probably feel a bit let down by that (I'm surmising, could be wrong, but I get it if that's it). Now you're not. He's since become a somewhat mythological bogeyman type character for some of you and when someone is really annoying or offbeat the answer is they are Pete.

I'm not trolling I'm just telling you I'm not Pete. Because...I double checked and I am not. But one thing I do agree with you is that this is a waste of time. The only person who enjoys it is Jim who keeps giving love hearts even though he doesn't read my posts (sorry that is a bit trolly, but it's true). Anyway, fine.
