So? I doubt we're signing him to a 5 year contract. He came through the last one pretty well.

DT - says no medical today for William.
It's starting to feel that Johnson to Villa is going to happen, i'm less and less confident that he's a NFFC player by the end of August.
Agreed. Which is a shame.
Percy reporting it too, Villa hope to do a deal for less than £50m. Perhaps including Digne.
FFP for you. £50m pure profit.
Same reason Chelsea are selling all their homegrown talent (Mount, Loftus-Cheek, rumours of Chalibah).
I dont think we have an urgent problem with FFP at the moment, I think he must be keen on a move (probably understandable).
I don't want to sell Brennan but for the right price (at least 50M) I can live with it if it's to a proper club like Villa, and not a tinpot pretender like Brentford or Bournemouth.
Pete O'Rourke says we're in "advanced talks" over Sangare and his agent is in Greece agreeing terms.

Natalie Jackson says DT doesn't know what he's talking about and that as of three hours ago Willian was at the City Ground.
FFS our metric had always been 'age in May".
Sounds like Man U and Inter have agreed the deal for Onana, so assuming that completes in the next day or so one would assume that we'll finally complete the Henderson deal.
It’s so cool that the rules designed to ensure sustainability mean it makes more sense for us to sell Brennan than Dennis.
Still.. if it happens I would tend to agree with people who say it’s not being driven by FFP. I think it would be driven by the club looking at the numbers and deciding that it’s a good moment to cash out.. and BJ himself pressing the issue by wanting to get himself a contract that makes the most of where he is at right now.
I think he’s a terrific player and I want to keep him.. but, realistically, this does represent a high point in his value that both parties can reasonably feel inclined to take advantage of. If he stays, it’s not all that likely that his worth will increase.. I think there is now much more downside risk than upside opportunity.
He was left out a few times at they end of the season when we put another in the middle, might be the way Cooper wants to set up next season.
I think Jackson posted first and Daniel Taylor's tweet was in reponse.
Wrong thread.....
Of course. Foolish of me.
Next May he’ll be 35 and 9 months.
