Henderson
Tyler Adams
Iheanacho.
You heard it here first
Doesn't really read like a goodbye message but I'd be surprised if we brought him back.
Rumour is Alexis MacAllister to Liverpool for 70M.
I'm not convinced that if you put MGW alongside Caicedo he wouldn't look like a 70M player either.
That Croatian goalie that Chicago likes is going to Villareal.
That’s been the rumour for a while. I like MacAllister and I don’t think the fact that he’s a good player is just down to Caceido. I think he will do very well at Liverpool. Caicedo may well go to Arsenal where he will likely do better than Trossard has done.
I don’t remember Caciedo playing when MacAllister won the World Cup.
We're getting Hendo, so not a problem.
Rounding up the goalkeeper rumours...
Once De Gea signs his new deal, we'll move for Henderson (who wants to come), hopefully for a lot less than £30m.
Not sure what our plan for the No 3 keeper is though. Shelvey needs a loan for his development. Another year for Smith? Or Kanuric?
Nicky Hogarth (who travelled to Selhurst Park as the No 3) and Ryan Hammond are set to be released. .
Aaron Bott to step up to the U21s, alongside one other (suggested will be a new signing from AFC Wimbledon)
Harry Grittiths is the name I've seen but he's only just turned 18, so there's no way he's getting anywhere near our first team, unless he's exceptional.
I believe that manshitty used 24 players last season. Which was the lowest in the division. The maximum squad size is 25, with the addition of qualifying U21 players.
Gonna need some yuth that can do a job for us.
For me third keeper should probably be one of those, though our ability to break keepers is starting to look a bit careless.
The Athletic has a piece on American's transfer prospects and they reckon Luton have an option on Horvath, so must be a high chance they'll exercise that.
Helps when you can rotate with no discernible drop in quality. We don't have that luxury.
Re keepers - we shouldn't have needed Navas, but turns out the No 2 was not up to it (like several of our signings).
Given Horvath is more than likely on his way, I wouldn't object to us signing two keepers and using Hennessey as the No 3 - going to be very difficult to find a keeper aged U21 who you'd trust in the EPL if there was injury/red card
(Man City have Carson, Liverpool have Adrian, Man U had Butland as No 3s for example)
(to add, fair play to Forest for not getting any red cards last season. I imagine that was quite long odds, especially given McKenna/Worrall's occasional carelessness in tackles and the speed of the EPL).
I don't disagree with that you are saying....although the chance of us attracting (and paying for) a number 3 keeper of the quality of your examples, is a bit bonkers.
Also this statement seems to not have a relationship with the facts. Manshitty played the fewest number of players - because of the quality they have access to in order to contribute to every minute of every game (potentially). The other teams, on a sliding scale, need to use more players because of the numbers who get injured, or can only do an hour at the level, or need their legs refreshing.
100% clubs without 25 players of the quality of manshitty, need a level of input from their U21's.
I had that thought a couple of days ago, was trying to remember if we had seen a red card for either team in any game this season. I don't think we did.
Wasn’t Mangala sent off for 2 yellows in a League Cup game?
Sad because he is quality.
Hennessy whiskey was decent against Palarse. He is still under contract and if Hendo isn’t totally biscuit then we should be okay.
Having said that, if Samba lost his shit in France and wanted to come back I wouldn’t say no. Cooper might but I wouldn’t.
Chicago: Keeping up appearances.
