Even more implausible now Bournemouth have met the release clause.

They seen to splashing the cash and I’m sure they did in January too.

Edit: FFP must be an issue for them fairly soon www.footballtransfers.com/en/teams/uk/bournemouth/transfers

If we really like Adams why not at least give it a go.

I am very confused by our transfer strategy. Does this mean we are skint or we are putting all our eggs in the sangare basket?

I mean both adams and pulisic and also musa are going for not extortionate prices considering they are top tier talents.

Again, I think we are going to panic around transfer deadline day. (probably go mental for conor gallagher when he can't get a game....)

    Chicago: Eternally hopeful

PSG and Bayern supposedly want Sangare, so that seems unlikely.

Not to get you all excited, but if Chelsea get Lavia as well as Caicedo, and with West Ham getting Ward-Prowse, your swing for the fence signing might be Connor Gallagher who will presumably be surplus to requirements at Chelsea.

What makes you think we do?

Percy’s article not long back said we were interested, and he’s fed by the club.

I’m sure I can remember lots of Forest fans spending most of last summer bemoaning our extended pursuit of MGW, when he wasn’t going to sign and probably wasn’t that good anyway.

If we are looking to buy better players we aren't going to be their first choice so we are going to have to be patient.

The question is how real that “interest” turns out to be when push comes to shove. If either is genuine, we have little chance. But agents and others have been known to play similar games before, plus there’s the issue of how much he wants to play. Daniel Taylor’s latest Athletic piece (about Syrianos) mentions Sangare and says we haven’t given up on Sangare (& tried to get him a year ago), but have identified alternatives.

Bayern have ruled out Sangare for the time being but that doesn't stop Liverpool lurking. The cnuts.

And again, if we want him then there is a release clause. Pay it!

    Chicago: Great with money.

You do know that paying a release clause doesn't automatically mean we get to buy him, right?

  • chicagopanorama_fish_eye

yes i am fully aware but I am pretty sure we are not bidding if there isn't any interest.

    Chicago: People person.

On FFP, how big a threat is that. No club seems to have had any meaningful penalty yet even when accused or breaching. Can see how you night take the view that a fine and/or a transfer embargo might be worth it if you've built a decent squad before the embargo.

Given how bent the game is, a big club like chelski can probably do whatever the fuck they want....some minnow like nottinghams florists will take the hit as a sop to pretending to do the right thing.

If you look at our transfer movements objectively we must be quite close to the line....less a bit of creative accounting. More transfers to olympiacos! (who have to be a bit careful about possible UEFA sanction).

Well citeh have breached 100 rules but apparently can sign Garvardiol or however you spell the cnut's name for a ridiculous amount of money.

I think the Premier league is taking the piss. Everton should be due a points deduction yet nothing?

I don't think we have a FFP problem yet so this is the year to splash the cash and next year we play it very very safe.

Or we say fuck it and end up being the only club who are punished. It's a scam!

    Chicago: Being Narky.

If Wolves are fcuked for cash why don't we put in a bid for Lemina.who is some player.

Although AFCON might bugger us but hey ho.

    Chicago: Going cheque book crazy!

    Everton's hearing is in October.

This year appears to be a good year to be conservative, especially given we are a few too many on the pay roll as it is.

Aim is to finish above three, which should be achievable with a more settled squad this year.
