N'golo Kante looks like he will be looking for a new club, although that would be a bit of a Lingard type signing (wrong side of 30 but not ancient, former great, hasn't played much recently, big wages).

Spends most of the season injured….

Indeed, although before this season he had a good injury record.

    Hendo/Navas.

Pfft - Lunatic please. If he re-signs I'll have his name tattooed on my arse.

Also silly suggestions and I am going to put it out there., Adama Traore. He is a free agent and would fill a speed quota on the wing. He also would be our new Franz Carr. Blisteringly fast and very hit and miss end product. Coops could perform miracles with him. He fell off a cliff the last two seasons but he is only 27.

    Chicago: Speed freak.

We don't play with wingers, and why would would you want to buy someone in Brennan's position who is an inferior player to Brennan in every way apart from his bench press?

  • chicagopanorama_fish_eye

Well clearly his bench press but Mister lubed biceps can play on the left and right and he is more of an inside forward and can play centre forward.

    Chicago: Muscle man.

Jesus C. I'm in agreement. Shock. I was actually having a very similar conversation with a friend. I think it's a decent idea. I'd have him playing on the opposite flank to Brennan though, probably both playing off someone like Taiwo or Wood. The obvious question is where is MGW in this formation, but it's a squad game yadda yadda. It would at least give us the pace option down the left side, rather than always being down the right.

But Traore is predominantly (exclusively?) a right sided player.

Why are you trying to convert someone rather than just signing a left sided forward, if that’s what you want?

He's been played down the right mostly. But I'd argue he'll be decent anywhere across the front line. If he can get to the form he showed a few seasons ago. He's also a strong ball carrier which we don't have many of.

As for why? Well sure, I'm easily convinced there's better out there. Let's buy those. But if we don't, he's a decent option.

Well yes, he’s also a one-trick pony, whose trick has been found out.

You cannot legislate for speed and he is also a powerful whatnot.

Him and Keinan and Taiwo would be lovely. I haven't forgotten Brennan but a rotation of those players would help keep players fit (especially Keinan..)

Besides Franz Carr brought me joy because of his blind alley runs and I need someone to amuse me.

    Chicago: Speed freak.
