2023 Summer transfers

Teh rumourmillz have us signing 6 and selling 3 (specifically Freuler, Dennis and Shelvey). Can't see us shifting those and we shouldn't be bringing in 6 more unless they are young enough to not count against the squad.

I'm not sure that's true. Until Henderson recovers, we can't be absolutely certain he will make a full recovery. Also some players are more prone to injuries and/or recover more slowly and given he's been out for 7 months with something that was going to be a month, that's not a great sign.

I think with a known injury that is under regular review, this isn't a massive deal. Obviously, don't sign someone if their recovery is giving the medical team cause for concern.

You didn’t seriously believe the stuff about how he was going to be out for just a month, did you? The speed with which we went out & got Navas was ample evidence that Hendo was likely to be out for most of the rest of the season

Who exactly were we trying to kid by only saying it was one month?

If they expected him to be out for the season, why keep him in the 25, rather than registering O'brien or Cook?

Wanting him after a bad season at Arsenal would be a little odd. After a "fcuk-knows-it's-Brazil" season would be <shrug>. Wanting him after a good season would be sensible.

He was probably Fulham's best player last year. Seems like what we wanted Dennis to be except he's actually smart. I wouldn't mind.

Funny one. Would have thought we'd be more fun / higher salary / better prospects than them. Thought he'd want to be in Spain.
