People saying this, people saying that is silly. If you want to verify it then it’s easy to check.
I think it’s because we are all bored and idle
Gossip is the way to get through the day. I hate summer. It’s hot. People are vile and I am currently homeless. It’s a good time to be alive!!!!
I guess Lavia did ok for them but it feels a bit like the common 90s approach of buying players who supposedly just didn't make it at ManU on the grounds that they'd be good enough - just ask Michael Stewart and Alan Irving(?) how that worked for us.
Not quite. Their problem was that they ONLY signed “young Man City fringe players”, which was surely a high risk strategy. Given the fact that we have experienced players like Aurier, Boly, Felipe, Wood, Mangala, even Freuler already here, adding some talented youth feels like a decent strategy at this stage - especially given our manager’s excellent track record in developing young players.
It’s a terrible model for the game in general. The top clubs hoover up all the young talent, then loan them out to the clubs who would otherwise have signed them. If they look decent enough to make it, but not enough to be sure they will be prime level talent, the big clubs extract huge fees for them (with buyback options, just in case) thus sucking money out of the clubs who (again) would otherwise have signed these players in the first place.. further enhancing the economic case for the top clubs to do this, and making it harder for the others to compete.
This is either a transfer domino falling in the wrong direction for Forest, or a sign United have pushed through the Onana deal and are ready to offload Henderson...
Bit rum for Rooney to be complaining they couldn't get a deal done to sign him after weeks of negotiating, when there was a purchase option already baked into his agreement. If you want him, just write the cheque.
