As long as we sell him before the end of June 2024, I don't think it makes much difference from an FFP point of view, as it's all the same financial year.

Agreed. it will make a difference in our negotiating position, if trading in this window has pushed us into a position of must sell.
I have half a suspicion the johnson deal is done...but is embargoed, so that we can spend the money elsewhere without unduly affecting prices.

The squad seems a little off balance. I like the centre back additions generally. With Murillo and Hardwood Bellis understudies for Felipe (is he fucked? and Niahkate and Worral. I think McKenna is off to scotland for some reason. Ndidi and Dominquez could be interesting. I still think Ryan Yayes is essential.
If Brennan goes (and it certainly seems so), then CHO (biscuit) and Elanga are the wide men. (can they stay fit? Who drops to the right or left if either one of them are out?
I like Aina. Tavares is an athlete but seems thick as munce.
Wood is a Taiwo replacement. Is MIchy? I think we probably have a surprise on deadline day...

He is, and strong. He's quick enough to chase his touch (likes a flick and a meg as well).; Might be interesting pushed a little forward. Not a natural defender (a bit rash and yellow cardy).
Although who really knows until we see him play for us, in the here and now.

I watched Tavares a fair amount at Arsenal. He is a monster who always gets caught in defence trying to be too clever. Happened a few times too many and Arteta ditched him after he was told not to fuck around before the liverpool game and did just that and the scouse scored from it.
So he's a maverick. He is decent going forward. Defending he will cause conniptions if we played the Arsenal way. Luckily we don't so maybe a pass down the line for fast attacks might be the way to go.
He is a great athelete. I suspect he has the same type of Maverick attitude Dennis has. I am not sure Cooper is going to love him unless he is pushed forward.

If we have to wait until summer to sell Brennan them he may be worth more if we have another good season. Or we may be needing to sell MGW for £100m instead by then if he continues to progress and Southgate picks him.
