To be fair, I think we signed him under Freedman when we had no money and were subject to transfer restrictions. He was a freebie, from memory. Was never supposed to be the second coming of Stanley Victor.
Wouldn't actually be that difficult for the bank/coppers to get to the bottom of, but I don't know whether a bank and/or the coppers would care that much for a couple of grand or if they'd just write it off as a cost of doing business.
I did have a boss who had an excessive (even by his standards) night at a strip club, then called the bank in the morning to say he'd lost his wallet around 6 in the evening and anything that was charged after that was nothing to do with him. Got away with it AFAIK.

That would be the only reason I could see for it, although I doubt that Birmingham would be paying that much more than the Canadian national team and they would provide far less job security.Also they are filthy bluenose c*nts
Sounds like someone got your credit card details off a data breach and bought a ticket, no doubt to onsell. When you notice the transaction next Monday, you should probably look to get a refund.
