But I understand his position is not as much under threat as recent reports suggest.

We have a core of players that are not premiership quality. We have Lingard out for a stroll. I won't join the witch hunt on Johnson as I think he is the real deal surrounded by incompetence. Too many of they selected players cannot perform as Cooper wants.

Is it worth pointing out that the backbone of that side went on to achieve promotion last season?
That's not an argument for or against Cooper at the present time; that decision is out of my control and I don't really care enough to be upset by it. However, I don't believe all our players are rubbish.

I've played that game a few times before. It's always gratifying to hear someone else quote a "source close to the club", or some such, when broadcasting something entirely made up, from a position of zero knowledge.
